Everyone seems to be in the carpet cleaning business
today with many different methods of cleaning. With the
help of a nation-wide consumer testing institute. I have
evaluated the different cleaning methods so that you,the
consumer, can decide which is best for your purposes.
The results of these comprehensive tests show that
Circular Dry foam did a superior job over all other
processes.
CONSUMER REPORT
1) Circular dry foam system- The best cleaning found by a nation-wide consumer
testing institute by far was the Circular dry foam system. "Our research shows that
the CIRCULAR DRY FOAM SYSTEM with separate initial & finish vacuuming really
removes the dirt & keeps the carpet looking better for longer."The CIRCULAR DRY
FOAM SYSTEM had a very high level of soil removal (92.3%) with little to no soap
residue. It does not involve harmful toxic chemicals that are oily or sticky. Carpets
re-soil in 12 to 15 months with the average @ 13 months. Drying time was not even
close @ 6 to 8 hours with the average @ 7 hours & our research showed no
soaking thru to the backing of the carpet even on braided rugs therefore causing no
carpet damage at all.
2) CARBONATED CLEANING-The carbonated cleaning found in such companies
as Chem-Dry,had a lower percentage of soil removal than the above
mentioned(77%) & the carpets were not soaked thru to the padding( as it is with
water extraction methods)causing rippling( little lumps in the carpet) or other forms
of carpet damage such as faded coloring, separation of carpet from backing by hot
water being shot thru @ high speed or padding deterioration. Even the floors
underneath showed no sign of mold or mildew fungus. Carpets re-soil in average
of 9 months.
3)FINE MIST EXTRACTION- Fine mist extraction is on the rise. Soil removal was an
averaged@ (67.4%) Re-soil was 8 months average. Drying time was 1 to 2 days
4)DRY FOAM EXTRACTION- The dry foam extraction showed soil removal at
(47.1%)re-soil was 6 months average. Drying time 2 to 3 days.
5)SHAMPOO & STEAM- Lower percentage of soil removal with either fine-mist or
dry foam @ (34.2%) Re-soiled extremely fast in 1 to 2 months .Drying time bad at 2
to 7 days. Average was 3 3/4 days.
6)HOT WATER EXTRACTION-Hot water extraction is the most common of todays
cleaning methods yet only ranks 6th on a scale of 1-12.Soil removal averaged
only(28.7%) Carpets re-soiled in 6-7 months. Drying time averaged 7-12 days
being poor in that category causing extensive carpet & padding deterioration &
actually separating the carpet from the pad causing rippling of the carpet as well as
the padding to dissolve. Floors were also reported to be soaked & warped,in many
cases taking the finish off hard wood floors, mold & mildew were found contributing
to indoor pollution ( not recommended to people with even slight allergies)
WILL NOT LIST ALL THE OTHER METHODS BECAUSE THEY REALLY ARE NOT
WORTH MENTIONING.
